Volunteer Appreciation

Carson Yu receives special recognition at our annual volunteer appreciation breakfast.

On Tuesday, April 29, volunteers across our programs gathered in Oakland for a Volunteer Appreciation breakfast.  Everyone enjoyed breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, and personal thank you letters.

HR leader Lindsey Lomas welcomed the guests and CEO Mario Alioto gave remarks.   Both speakers focused on the impact volunteers have in helping us meet the needs of our neighbors.

Longtime volunteer Carson Yu received a special certificate of appreciation from Catholic Charities USA, because he had been nominated for volunteer of the year.

Appreciation events were held in our Concord office as well.

Fraud Alert: Be cautious of outside parties requesting personal information or payments for services claiming to be from Catholic Charities. Always verify by contacting your local Catholic Charities directly or visit one of our locations in Oakland, Richmond, or Concord.
