The East Bay’s Catholic Charities for 90 Years

Catholic Charities East Bay grew up right here in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Since 1935, Catholic Charities East Bay has consistently helped children, families, and seniors move from crisis to stability to well-being. These needs can range from helping pay rent and utilities, to offering counseling services to our youth who are experiencing the pressures of today’s society, to assisting our neighbors legally on the path towards citizenship.

East Bay neighbors stayed in their homes thanks to rent relief

For your information

On average, the families we helped are working but earn less than $30,000 a year.

On average, $2,500 kept a family in their home.

Requests from people aged 55 or older went up by 39% – the largest increase of any demographic.

The Immigration Legal Services Team provided:

• 750 consultations
• 250 citizenship (naturalization) cases
• 95 humanitarian relief cases
• 65 education and outreach events

Note: Catholic Charities East Bay is an authorized immigration legal service provider with the US Department of Justice (DOJ), our services are provided by Accredited DOJ Representatives, Paralegals, trained Legal Assistants; and Attorneys licensed by the California State Bar.

students received on-going help provided by Catholic Charities Mental Health Therapists.

Joy Bells Holiday Gift Campaign

163 families with 255 children received toys, bikes, warm clothes, books, and gift cards for food through our annual Joy Bells campaign.
