At the Love in Action Gala, we proudly announced the inaugural Pat Elam Catholic Charities East Bay Community Service Award and presented it to Dora Segura.
Created in memory of Patricia “Pat” Elam, this award will shine a spotlight on an individual whose compassion, commitment, and hands-on service have made a meaningful difference for people across the East Bay. The annual award will honor an East Bay community member whose generosity extends beyond a single moment or act of kindness, reflecting an ongoing dedication to strengthening the lives within our community.
More than a recognition of service, The Pat Elam Community Service Award is a reminder of what is possible when people choose to lead with compassion and put their love into action.
As the longest tenured employee at Catholic Charities East Bay, Dora has dedicated over 25 years to CCEB and is currently the Housing Division Program Manager. Through her years of service, Dora has helped strengthen the lives of countless individuals and families across the East Bay. Her dedication is a true example of what it means to put Love in Action.
