Cassidy Program for Homeless or Marginally Housed Seniors
The Cassidy Program provides emergency financial assistance to homeless or marginally housed low-income seniors.
We have an ongoing collaboration with St. Mary's Senior Center in Oakland, who provides direct assistance to clients and refers them to us for housing financial assistance. Our Cassidy Program is one of many that we have available for assistance.
Once a senior comes to our office he/she will be working with a Catholic Charities of the East Bay case manager who will help determine if they qualify for our services.
The information that we need is:
- ID
- SSN cards
- Income Verification
- Lease Agreement Proof of Housing Crisis (i.e. 3 Day Notice / Eviction Notice / Shelter Letter)
NOTE: One of our goals is to make sure that our clients will be stably housed once they receive assistance. We need to make sure that the place you are renting or will rent is affordable to you with the income that you currently have.
More information might be needed by case manager who can inform you what that information is.
