Project Access Receives Promising Practices Award by CASAS for our ESL-ECE transitional program
May 24, 2012 - The CASAS Awards Review Team, in coordination with the California Department of Education, has selected Mt. Diablo Adult Education to receive a 2012 Promising Practices Award. The award is in acknowledgement of Project Access.
The Awards Review Team and CDE recognize the dedicated effort put forth by staff to develop this program, and commend your ability to assist adult students. We believe that your agency deserves recognition for its outstanding service to Adult Education, and that your practice can serve as a model for other programs.
Presentation of Award: Patricia Terry, Administrator, Adult Education Office, California Department of Education, will present this award at the California WIA II Consortium Meeting at the 2012 CASAS National Summer Institute. The Consortium Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 3:30pm at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego (500 Hotel Circle North).
Poster Session: On Thursday, June 14, from 8:00-9:15am, Catholic Charities of the East Bay will have the opportunity to display a poster presentation that outlines our Promising Practice.
Promising Practices and Making a Difference Award Panel: This panel discussion takes place at the CASAS Summer Institute on Wednesday, June 13, from 10:35am-12:00pm or Thursday, June 14, from 1:00-3:00pm. Project Access will describe our Promising Practice and answer questions from the audience. We hope that you can share your success stories with other programs, and that the audience can learn from you!
