Catholic Charities of the East Bay (CCEB) will host its 30th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, April 14. Presented by the Wilcox Family Foundation, the Golf Classic will be held at the historic and beautiful Diablo Country Club for the fourth straight year.
“It is always a really fun tournament. I would not miss it for the world.” said Ray Neubauer, the former president of the Catholic Charities Board of Directors, and 17 year golfer at the Golf Classic. Besides a great day of golf, the $250 ticket price includes tee prizes, lunch, games, contests, cocktail hour and awards dinner; tickets for the dinner only are $125.
Among the games and contests, there are Hole-in-One prizes available on all four Par 3s, including one where winners — yes, there can be multiple winners — can select a deluxe vacation-for-two to one of three of Golf’s Majors (U.S. Open, British Open or PGA Championship), the NCAA Final Four, or the Daytona 500.
The Prize Raffle this year is as exciting as ever with the top prizes being four getaways to the Northeast, Lake Tahoe, Monterey Bay & a Paso Robles Winery Guest House with Chauffeur-Driven Wine Tasting. With only 150 tickets to be sold and all 15 prizes worth more than the $100 ticket price, you have a 10% chance of “getting back your money” and a whole lot more. Names will be drawn during the Awards Dinner, but one does not need to be in attendance to win.
“While the scores may not always be ideal, the atmosphere at this historic club in support of our important programs always is,” said Steve Wilcox, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Golf Committee.
For nearly 80 years, CCEB has been recognized as a leading provider of critically needed social services for the poor and vulnerable, with a proven record of service, creating life-changing opportunities for those of all ages in need, regardless of religious beliefs.
Last year’s CCEB’s Golf Classic raised more than $100,000 through 24 sponsorships, including the Presenting Sponsorship of the Wilcox Family Foundation, the NFL Store—Pier 39 and Garaventa Enterprises.
